New Years Resolution 101

Its not hard to make a New Years Resolution, you just have to put in mind what are the factors to consider.

Six things to keep in mind

  1. must be realistic
  2. something you love
  3. something you really want to do or not to do
  4. must be doable( feasible )
  5. within your jurisdiction
  6. something that would make you a better person after the year ends.

REALISTIC

Resolution must be realistic. It must be a real thing to do, Not what you wish to do or dream to do. New Years resolution is not a wish list.

SOMETHING YOU LOVE

I love to read and I can't seem to have time. Seeing this list would remind me that." oh. its time to read."

TO DO AND NOT TO DO

I Would want to pray always. And I promised myself to refrain from shouting.

MUST BE DOABLE

Same as the first aspect, it must be doable. The things that wont require you money, and too much effort. it must be things you should do, but it seems that you always forgot.

WITHIN YOUR JURISDICTION

Don't make a resolution that requires other peoples effort or approval. It has to be yourself alone.

MAKES ME A BETTER PERSON

No shouting, Be consistent are one of the example that would make me a better person. New Years resolution are supposed to make you better, but including personalty improvement is different.

Thank You for reading. Its not yet late to make your set of new years resolution.
I hope that this post helped you and inspire you.
God Bless.

Three months of blogging :what I've learned from my 2017 blogging experience

I have been blogging for three months already, and this experience is one of the best in my life.

My 2017 blog post are:

Product Review

My blogs

I also have posts with affiliate marketing but I thinks I don't have to include it here.

My 2017 blog post
  • my gun start. it ignited my passion to write
  • my passion poured like water from a bucket. I poured my best to the extent that I overreacted, I felt the need to fill it with too much words.
  • my goal was to make a min. of 500 word per post.
  • fill it with at least 4 original pictures

What I've learned is that

  • too much words can bore a reader like me. Yes!! my blog was too much to take especially the silka-papaya-soap-review. It was so long and overly decorated. Well I forgive myself, for it is my First ever product review.
  • It took me too much time to post a blog, because I was afraid to post a blog with 300 word or less review or post.
  • I didn't post a blog with out pictures, except for journey-to-fairer-whiter-and-beautiful for it was my first, my blog post.
  • I was always hesitant to post un-prepared .
  • My goal was to post three times a week. Because I was afraid that I might run out of ideas to blog about.
  • My theme is a bit pink and not really view friendly.

This 2018 will be a different approach. I will leave behind FEAR, ANXIETY,OVERACTING and HESITATION.

Expect a new me.

  • you will be seeing post here more often.( yesterday I posted 4 blog with out really planning it.)
  • less words. Concise and direct.
  • less Pictures..... maybe.(I cant really assure that.. I love Pictures so much.)
  • I will work out on a better theme for a better viewing experience.

If you have your 2017 blogging experience, share it with me. I would like to hear them.

If you have read this, Let me know.
Thank you and God bless.

Intermittent fasting

to lose weight is one of the most popular resolution to many people.

Was I successful?

I guess loosing 10kilo is successful enough.
For a woman like me who really cannot work out,  weight loss will be really hard.

I tried jogging, but instead of loosing, I gained really big.

I almost gave up on this dream of loosing weight until I read about Intermittent fasting. I wast very religious at following it until a weight loss competition was formed  between our co-workers. It gave me the reason to follow it strictly.

I was already fasting with a 16 hour once a week for 3 months already. Then I tried it for three times a week until I do it everyday.

Fasting in general has many health benefits.
I eat with an 8 hour window period and fast for 16 hours.

I felt lighter, and stronger. I fell less sleepy and my body pain lessened.

I know.... You may raise your eyebrows but its true. Just try it for yourself.

For the first and second week of the process, you would really feel the struggle. you will fell hungry and tempted. but please please please, don't give in. If you successfully passed this two weeks of struggle, you are good too go.

If you also have effective weight lose technique, I would love to hear it.

Get The Word Into Your Life

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11

When I( the author of the book) was growing up in the 50s and 60s, it became a high priority to get enough milk to the young people of America. The importance of calcium for bone development was increasingly recognized and milk became the means through which this mineral was distributed.

I loved milk a lot and my mother brought special non fat milk just for me because I was a little fat back then. I thought the watered down milk was a little strange, but I drank it anyway because I wanted to please my mom.

Two rather different milk-related products that came to back then were concentrated milk and flavored straws. I don’t know how they did it, but to save room in the refrigerator, you could buy this black carton of concentrated milk and then add tree parts water to make the proper consistency. I think it was called three-in-one milk and I remember it sitting in our refrigerator many times because there were five in the family.

The other product was flavored straws. Millions of moms packed these strawberry or chocolate-flavored straws in their kids lunches. As the milk would go through the straw it would pick u the flavor. The straws were not very efficient and sometimes you would get a lot of flavor and sometimes none.

I really wish that as much time and effort were put into making products that delivered the word of God into our lives. Just as we need our daily calcium, we need that daily Word.

Three-in-one milk and flavored straws were designed to get milk into life. I would like to challenge each of us today to do whatever it takes to get precious, life nourishing, life-changing Word into our life and the lives of others today. Getting that spiritual food into our hearts is no doubt the most important thing we can do each day.

Is having New Year’s resolution really effective?

When I was in my High school, we were asked what our new year’s resolution was and were asked to write something about it. I didn’t really believe in it. I thought that it was all just a scheme for students to have a purpose or something to write. It only changed last 2016, when a speaker at our church talked about resolutions.

It is a tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere but also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise their life.(wikipedia.org)

So before the end of 2016, I decided for myself to give it a shot. So this is my

2017 New Year’s resolution  with rating.
Rating from 1-10. 1 being the worst and 10 the most successful.

1.     Practice professionalism.............................................7
2.     Avoid loan...................................................................5

This set of Resolution was for me the things I really must try to have and avoid.

Did it help me? find out at my next blog.

I would also want to hear about your story on how you made your first resolution.

Thank you for reading. and let me know if you have read this, just comment below and please do share.

Understand my husband #11, 2017 new years resolution

and Yes.

Its true, Understand my husband was a new years resolution I made.

Was it effective?
It was. From 1-10 of our relationship status since 2016 up to 2017
I rate 2016 with 3 being near the worst. by the way he is not the problem. its the "us" problem.

We always fight. When he shout, I shout, when he talks I barely listen to him. He is such a nagger.

When I made this as a resolution, I always remind myself to "understand Him."

I told myself, I must change for things to change. So when he talks, I keep silent, until he is done, even until few hour have passed, I kept silent. He noticed it and apologize for being such a nagger.

That very simple act, change our relationship status from 3 to 8 near perfection.
I am not bragging about this. Try it for yourself, and see how things change.

If you keep on doing the same thing, you would always get the same thing.

If you what to change things, Change first.

Tip the Waiter

“I am the bread of life.” John 6:48.

Have you experienced the pleasure of being waited upon by a knowledgeable and attentive person at a restaurant? It really feels great. Well, next time you sit down to feed on God’s Word, I highly recommend Jesus-the very best Waiter in the universe.

First of all, Jesus is always very glad to see me take the time to eat at His restaurant. He welcomes me in such a positive and gracious way that to humbles me, and I have to confess that it has been much too long since I have eaten at His bountiful table. As He leads me to a quiet and sunny place, I noticed that there are unfortunately many empty tables just waiting to be filled with Hungry people.
Jesus always anticipates my every need. He knows just what I am hungering for. He helps me to choose just the right thing from the very extensive menu and the food is truly out of this world. I don’t see how this Waiter does it, but every time I eat there, He also always calmly sits down and shares the, meal with me.
When I insist He has other, more important people to wait on. Jesus gently tells me that I alone am His favourite customer and He is always staring out the window, anxiously anticipating my next visit.
The end of the meal is always my favourite time, for it is time to tip my favourite Waiter. I take out my wallet, my schedule, the deed to the house, and everything that I have and give it to Him. It is not near enough to pay for the meal but I am so happy, sitting there in perfect peace, well-fed and full of His grace.

“By the way, Jesus, could I please have a take-out bag? I know that I will want to share this great food with others during the day.”

Eat Slowly

“This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”. Joshua 1:8.

Although we live in modern world where fast food is ordered quickly, consumed rapidly and forgotten immediately, the study of the Bible does not lend itself to such a hurried approach. The Word of God must be eaten slowly to nourish the soul properly. Here are some very practical tips that many people have found to be helpful in their daily study of the Bible or other devotional material:

Mark the Text- One of the best pieces of advice is studying the Scriptures is to mark the text. You can use a pen, pencil, or a highlighter t underline or make notes about your observations. The marking of the text not only slows down your reading but the ink is also like a second pair of eyes- helping you observe the wonderful structure and relationships that are build in the Scriptures.

Meditate on the Text- The Lord instructed Joshua, as cited in our verse for today, to “ not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

The meaning of the Hebrew word for “meditate” in this verse conveys the idea of speaking to one’s self, which is certainly in harmony with the instruction to not let the word “ depart from your mouth.”

Anything that we can do to carry about the Word of God in our heart, our minds, our eyes, our mouth will be greatly instrumental to the prosperity of our spiritual life. To do this, we must take our time when reading the text of the scriptures. Only then can our devotional lives deeply nourish our hungry hearts.

Look Over the Menu

Give us Day by day Our Daily Bread”. Luke 11:3.

CHOOSE A QUIET PLACE- The second thing we need to do to have a devotional life is pick a quiet place to eat our spiritual meal. Daily devotional times are to be like sitting beside an intimate meal with us, so pick a quiet time and place.

LOOK OVER THE MENU- If you have ever been to a true ethnic restaurant, you know how daunting reading the menu can be. Chinese menus are especially famous for being extremely long. Many people face a similar dilemma when they look over  the extensive menu the Bible has to offer. Here are some suggestions about how to begin or enhance your devotional reading:

·       Ask the Waiter: Just as a good waiter will guide you in making your selections,  the holy spirit has been promised to guide us in our search for truth and spiritual growth (John 16:13). Try to have a plan that gives you many days of consistent reading so you don’t have to daily search for something to read.

·       Proverbs 1:31: One area of the Bible that I have found particularly interesting is the systematic reading of the 31Chapters of Proverbs. If you are wondering what to read on the sixth day of any month you can read the sixth chapter of Proverbs ads so forth each day of the month.

·       The Gospel of John: The gospel of John is another good place to have devotional readings. There are many wonderful stories here, including the Wedding Feast of Cana ( John 2); the meeting with Nicodemus (John 3) and the Woman at the Well (John 4)

·       Devotional Books/ Sabbath School Lesson: There are many wonderful devotional books specifically written for many different groups of people (Including this volume on Discipleship). These books are carefully crafted to provide daily portions of Scripture. Studying the daily Sabbath School lesson can also serve as an excellent devotional book.

How to make Manna Tasty

“Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your Word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15; 16.

When I and my family are looking for a place to eat, we don’t really look hard; anywhere is good as long as the food is tasty.
Looking for tasty food is the same with reading the devotional. Often times we don’t get interested because the manna is not very tasty. In the following blog post are some very practical suggestions on how to transform a bread-and-water type of devotional meal into a real feast!

SET A DEVOTIONAL TIME- No reservations are ever required to eat at McDonald’s or another fast food place. In fact you don’t even have to get out of your car!
Could it be that this same hurry-up-and-eat-right-now attitude is being carried over to our devotional lives as well? In the same way that hurried eating results into poor digestion, could it be that we are unable to absorb the Water of life if we hurry trough our devotional time?
If we want the Water of Life to sink deeply into our lives, then we must have a go,go,go mentality.
Now just where are we going to find time to have our devotional meal?
First of all, we should determine to give the best of our waking moments to Jesus. That means we need to find the time during the day when we are most awake and alert. While some people have found that the first thing in the morning is when they are most awake, others don’t really get started until later in the day.

Make your devotional time to be with Jesus when you are most likely awake, least likely disturbed and before you are swept away by the rush of the day.

What do you think about your personal relationship with the Lord? were you eating manna to fast, and had indigestion?

How blogging changed my life 2017

Welcome to my blog site

I am "DM"/ Diona, and I would like to invite you to my journey to a Happy life.

I started blogging Last October 2017 and this was one of the greatest decision I have ever made, Procrastination was my friend and he really pulled me down.

Blogging was a dream ever since 2014 and I can’t seem to start. I always surf the net for quality information and tips and this one Vlog really changed my life (I'm sorry but I cant really recall who's Vlog it was).  He said on his Vlog "all you have to do is start, it doesn't matter if you are not yet ready, what is important is you started".

That day I "un-friended" my friend Procrastination and it felt perfect. That very day I posted my first Blog about myself, it was a very short narrative and there are no pictures. After a couple of days, I posted my very first product review about Silka papaya soap.

I wasn’t really ready back then, I don't have my own Pictures and I just borrowed from the net.

I showed my blog with my sister and one of them said that I can be sued by using others pictures without credit. So I credited the site and went Home to take my own pictures. The following day, I updated my blog and change the picture with my own pictures.

Blogging changed my life in many ways. I found a new purpose that made a difference in me. I thought to myself, "goodbye to my mediocre life and welcome to the new me"

This blog site will be full of quality information, from tips and tricks, beauty products and my experience with them, places and food, and the most important of all is, the daily Bread of Life. Messages from our Lord Jesus Christ.

I want to be able to make a change to this world.
To make it a better place.

The Influence of Materialism Lesson #2

The Influence of Materialism
From the Adult Sabbath School Bible study guide first and second Quarter of 2018
Lesson #2 December 31, 2017
Sunday

Memory Text
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect to the will of God”
Romans 12:2, NKJV

The God of this World

Money has become the god of this world, and materialism is its religion. Materialism is a sophisticated and insidious system that offers temporary security but no ultimate safety.
Materialism, as we define it here, is when the desire or wealth and possessions become more important and more valuable than spiritual realities. Possessions may have value, but their value shouldn’t posses us: “whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income” (Eccles. 5:10, NIV).  That’s the problem with desiring the things of this world: no matter how much we get, it’s never enough. We push harder and harder for more and more of that which can never satisfy us.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
1 John 2:16, 17
If any one comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14; 26-33

Maybe it could be said like this: those for whom money, or the desire for money, becomes an all- consuming reality should, indeed, count the cost. “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but losses your own soul?” (Mark 8:36, NTL)
When Christ came to the earth, humanity seemed to be fast reaching its lowest point. The very foundations of the society were undermined. Life has become false and artificial. Throughout the world all systems of religion were losing their hold of mind and soul. Disgusted with fable and falsehood, seeking t drown thought, men turned to infidelity and materialism. Leaving eternity out of their reckoning, they lived for the present.” Ellen G. White, Education. Pp74, 75.

Who doesn’t like to own things? The Question is: How can we know if the things we own, even if they are few, own us as well? Who alone should own us, and how can we be sure that He does?

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect to the will of God”
Romans 12:2, NKJV

Read for this Week’s study

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
1 John 2:16,17 KJV
Luke 14; 26-33 KJV

10When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. 11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments , and his judgements, and his status, which I command thee this day: 12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and has built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; 13 And When thy herds and thy flocks multiply, ant the silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; 14 then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

Deuteronomy 8:10-14 KJV

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have earned from faith, and pierced themselves though with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:10 KJV
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth  forth much fruit: for without me ye cab do nothing.
John 15:5

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and himself for me.
 Galatians 2:20

The Word of God tell His people not to “Be conformed to this world” (Romans 12:2 NKJV), but the lure of materialism, the inordinate desire for wealth and for what we think wealth can bring, is powerful. Very few people, weather rich or poor, are beyond the reach of materialism. This includes Christian as well.
Nothing is wrong with being rich, or even working hard to get ahead in order to provide comfortably for yourself and your loved ones. But when money, or the pursuit of money, becomes all-encompassing, we have fallen into the devil’s trap and have, indeed, become “conformed to this world”.

The world conveys the Idea that the good life, the abundant life, can be found only in money. But money is one mask that Satan hides behind in order to secure our allegiance. Materialism is one Satan’s weapons of choice against Christians. After all, who doesn’t like money and what money can bring us in the here and now? Its greatest achievement is instant gratification, but in the end it cannot answer our deepest needs.
